Overview #
The Account Overview screen provides quick access to key account areas and a summary of information that is useful when reviewing an account at a glance. It combines navigation, invoice summary information, selected contact details, and high-visibility notes in a single screen.
Account Badges #
At the top of the screen you will find multiple quick information badges including:
- Balance: The total account balance, including all open and future financial transactions (invoices, credits, payments, adjustments)
- Balance Due: The amount currently owed that is due for payment, typically from posted/closed invoices that are unpaid
- Status: Current account status based on user defined system values
- Bill Day: The day on which this account bills
Overview Panel #
This section provides easy navigation to account sub screens which cover aspects of account management.
- Profile: the screens listed when this option is selected allow you to add, view, and edit the products that the account has been sold. From here you can also navigate to screens that allow you to customize pricing, configure account contracts, or modify existing share plans on the account
- Billing: the screens listed when this option is selected allow you to view and manage account invoices, view and make payments, manage account credits, view and manage credit notes, and manage account transactions
- Communications: the screens listed when this option is selected allow you to view and manage account contacts and add notes to the account. Notes can be configured to be exposed on the Account Overview screen if desired
- Settings: the screens listed when this option is selected allow you to manage account settings, such as billing day, tax behavior, invoice delivery, and payment methods Some navigation options may only appear when they are relevant for the account and when the current user has permission to access them. For example, payment-method navigation is only shown when payment-gateway functionality is available and the account is eligible to use it.
Invoices Panel #
Provides a high-level overview of invoices on the account. Each row includes invoice-level values such as:
- Balance
- Total
- Due
- Created
The chart above the list summarizes invoice balances visually for the invoices currently loaded on the screen. To view, print, email or manage invoices on the account navigate to the Account / Billing / Invoices screen.
Contacts Panel #
The Contacts Panel displays contacts currently set up on the account and the contact’s details. Only contacts whose contact type is configured to show on the overview screen will appear here.
Each tab represents an individual contact returned to the overview screen. The tab caption uses the contact’s contact type, and the tab content can include:
- Name
- Title
- Address details
- Contact points such as phone numbers, email addresses, or other configured contact information
To view or edit contacts on the account navigate to the Account / Communication / Contacts screen.
Notes Panel #
This section displays notes added to the account that have the Show On Overview setting enabled. The purpose of this panel is to surface high-visibility account notes on the overview screen rather than display every note on the account.
If no notes are configured to appear here, the overview screen will show an empty-state message instead of a note list.
To add or edit notes on the account navigate to the Account / Communication / Notes screen.
