Account Share Plans are configured in Account / Profile / Share Plans

Overview #

Share plans allow multiple services or packages to contribute to, and consume from, a shared pool of usage. This screen is used to review how the selected account participates in a share plan after a qualifying share-plan package has been added to the account.

The screen is primarily a management and analysis area. It shows the share plan details that apply to the account, the participating services or packages, the configured usage buckets, any share-plan add-ons that have been attached, and the account’s current usage position. Depending on the share-plan configuration, the screen can also show product-code-specific views when account product-code customization is active.

Account Share Plans Panel #

The Account Share Plans panel on the left lists the share plans that currently exist on the account. Select a share plan in this list to review its details on the right.

Edit Account Share Plan Panel #

The panel on the right displays the details for the selected share plan.

Fields #

  • Name: The name of the share plan.
  • ID: The internal identifier for the account share plan record.
  • Effective Date: The date and time the share plan became active on the account.
  • Cancellation Date: The date and time the share plan is scheduled to stop being active, if a cancellation has been set.
  • Description: A description of the share plan.
  • Share Level: Shows whether the plan is shared only within the account or at a broader level such as a usage invoicer relationship.
  • Selling Service: Identifies the service that activated the share plan on the account.
  • Usage Billing Frequency: Shows how often recurring usage replenishment or usage billing occurs for the share plan.

Participating Tab #

The Participating tab shows the services or packages that contribute to, or consume from, the share plan.

For usage-based share plans, this tab can show participating limits and usage-unit settings for the participating services. For money-based share plans, it shows the monetary participation view instead.

When product-code customization is active, this tab can also switch between the default configuration and attached account product codes. In those cases:

  • Add Product Code allows a new product-code-specific participation view to be attached
  • Remove Product Code removes an attached product-code-specific participation view
  • the Product Code selector switches the tab between the default configuration and attached product-code views

Buckets Tab #

The Buckets tab shows the usage buckets that exist for the share plan.

Each bucket row shows summary information such as the bucket name, recurrence pattern, and bucket type. Expanding a bucket shows the participating services or packages that contribute to that bucket.

From this tab, users can also open supporting detail dialogs such as:

  • Bucket tier details
  • Money allocation details for money-based buckets
  • Usage-bucket notification details

When product-code customization is active, the Product Code selector can be used to review the bucket view for the default configuration or for an attached product code.

Add-Ons Tab #

The Add-Ons tab is used to manage share-plan add-on packages that increase the usage available to the selected share plan.

This tab includes:

  • Price Book to show the price book used by the selling account package
  • Package to search for eligible share-plan add-on packages
  • Package Frequency to select one or more active frequencies for the chosen package
  • Add to add the selected add-on package and frequencies to the share plan

The list in this tab shows the add-on packages that have already been attached to the share plan. Add-ons are limited to packages that are configured in the system as share-plan add-on packages and that are compatible with the current share plan context.

Current Usage Tab #

The Current Usage tab is used to review the account’s current usage position for the selected share plan.

Each bucket row shows the bucket name, recurrence pattern, total allowance, and total consumed amount. Expanding a bucket shows the current usage attributed to the participating services or packages within that bucket.

Use the refresh action on a bucket row to reload the latest usage values for that bucket.
