Overview #
Invoice delivery settings define how invoices are produced and how they are sent or transferred after billing. These settings are typically assigned through bill-group configuration and determine which invoice template is used, whether invoices are emailed, whether they are transferred to an external location, and whether additional reports or exports are included.
This screen is used to create and maintain the reusable delivery configurations that control those behaviors.
Prerequisites #
- Invoice templates should already be configured.
- Email templates should already be configured if invoices or related notifications will be sent by email.
- Transfer locations should already exist if invoices will be sent to an external transfer destination.
- Applicable reports or invoice exports should already exist if they will be attached or exported as part of delivery.
Invoice Deliveries Panel #
The Invoice Deliveries panel on the left displays the available invoice delivery configurations. Selecting a delivery configuration loads its details on the right so you can review or update it.
Actions #
| Icon | Description |
|---|---|
| Deletes the delivery if not in use (configured on a bill group) | |
| Adds a new invoice delivery |
Edit Invoice Delivery Panel
The Edit Invoice Delivery panel displays the selected delivery configuration and is where its settings are maintained.
Fields #
- Name: The descriptive name for the invoice delivery configuration.
- Default Account Delivery Type: Defines how invoices are delivered for accounts using this configuration.
- Invoice Template: Selects the invoice template used when invoices are rendered.
- Email Template: Selects the email template used when invoice email delivery or related notifications are enabled.
- Transfer Location: Selects the external transfer destination when the delivery type uses external transfer.
- Do Not Deliver Zero Charge: Prevents delivery when the invoice amount is zero and the related email behavior applies.
Delivery Type Behavior #
Depending on the selected Default Account Delivery Type, the screen changes which additional fields are required or visible.
Common delivery patterns include:
- email delivery
- offline delivery
- external transfer
- email and external transfer together
When external transfer is used, Transfer Location becomes relevant. When the selected invoice template is an XML e-invoice template, delivery options are more restrictive and the screen adjusts accordingly.

Use the Attachments tab to attach reports that should accompany invoice delivery.
Add Controls #
- Report: Selects the report to attach.
- Content Type: Selects the output format for the attached report.
- Add: Adds the selected report attachment to the delivery configuration.

The attached reports list shows:
- Name: The attached report name.
- Content Type: The delivery format for that report, such as PDF or CSV.
Use the delete action on a row to mark an attached report for removal.
Exports Tab #
Use the Exports tab to attach invoice-related exports that should be generated with the delivery configuration.
Add Controls #
- Export Name: Selects the invoice export to add.
- Add: Adds the selected export to the delivery configuration.
Exports List #
The exports list shows the configured export names for the delivery configuration. Use the delete action on a row to mark an export for removal.
References Tab #
The References tab shows where the selected invoice delivery configuration is already in use. This helps determine the impact of changes and whether the configuration can be deleted.
Where references exist, the tab lists the related items by name.
